My name is Muhammad Hasnain and I am representing Carragreen Energy
Pakistan, a company dedicated in fulfilling the electricity consumption
requirements for the growing population of the country. In recent years,
Pakistani government has allowed private companies to manufacture hydropower
houses, which will supplement the existing facilities in different parts of
the country.
Pakistan��s northern mountain regions are blessed with glaciers and streams
and the opportunity to generate electricity with run of the river turbines
is immense. Carragreen Energy has undertaken this huge task to construct the
powerhouses ranging from 20 MW to 100 MW.
The largest province of the country, Punjab has a network of flowing rivers,
and tapping on this source of energy will enable the country to maximize the
commercial and domestic electric utility. Carragreen Energy is looking
forward to explore the effectiveness of Surface Turbines at zero head to
exploit water energy from rivers in the Punjab province.
In this regard, we will welcome expertise from consultants, manufacturers
and different organizations involved in provision of either zero head
SURFACE TURBINES or RUN OF THE RIVER TURBINES (low, medium or high head).
We are looking forward to receive email from your organization with
comparative price quotes in near future for run of the river turbines and
surface turbines. Please do write back as soon as possible and we will be
glad to extend our business ties with you in near future.
The run of the river turbines will be installed on a stream. Total
electricity generating capacity of the plant is 20 MW. A Letter of Interest
(LOI) has been issued. The project will be built, operated and then
transferred to the Government Energy Department. Further, meteorology and
topographic surveys are underway.
The project details are attached with this email. Hydrology gauge data and
discharge figures are also attached.
