Yes, too many reasons FOR NOT WORKING:

This is a question that is constantly asked in this Forum.

12 volts generation
800 ft distance ( 1800 feet two wires)
1 wire ( really two -- the second is the casing).
75 feet *0.3048 = 22.8 meter
40 gpm = 2.52 l/s

Gross Power available 22.8 * 2.52*9.81= 563.6 watts

Expect  around 250 to 300 watts due to the generator efficiency

Piping needs to be considered for minimum friction losses -- You do not
say -- the length of the piping

Couple this power NOT  to an alternator but to a brushless 3 phase motor or
an induction motor as a generator producing high voltage ( 230 VAC or
higher).

Place transformer(s)  at the load to bring the voltage to the battery bank
range.
