Dear Group, I am working on some small wind projects in Mexico and Afghanistan - places where the alternative power is diesel recips. Wind can be a good energy supply, but it is intermittment, even in the best wind sites. So storage is needed.
My question for this group is: does anyone know of any examples of pumped storage in the 20-100kW size range? What is the smallest pumped storage anyone knows of? There is one 20MW I know of, but nothing below that. Is there some reason that micro pumped storage is not widely done? Any ideas most welcome. Thanks so much, Dan Daniel A.
