The last real working one I found in the mountain in Styria(Austria) 1978. Then I tried to find out, who invented this interesting machine with the characteristic noise and long life time . I found in the technical museum in Munich the history. It was a french man , (the name I forgot, could be Foucoult) in the year 1795."
It was Etienne Montgolfier - one of the same Montgolfier brothers who invented the hot-air balloon a few years earlier. Foucault is a good guess, though - he seems to have invented an awful lot of good stuff. Best, Marc de Piolenc ------------------------ Yahoo!
