"Once you’ve installed it, Password Alert will show you a warning if
you type your Google password into a site that isn’t a Google sign-in
page. This protects you from phishing attacks and also encourages you
to use different passwords for different sites..."

The warning doesn't appear until after you've actually submitted your
password, which I think is an unfortunate decision - I would have used
some UI element like a pop-up to intercept the action before the
password is sent and to require user confirmation before sending it
off - but it's still an extension worth considering.
