Effective June 1, 2015, the installation rate for a voice line increased from $79/hour to $126/hour. We understand this is a substantial rate increase, however, the voice installation rate has not increased in over seven years. After thoroughly examining the service and making every effort to control expenses, the new rate of $126/hour more accurately reflects our costs.
Voice installation service charges are incurred when a new telephone line ( PBX <https://ist.berkeley.edu/calpbx> or Centrex) is installed. This rate only applies to changes that are made to phone service that require a site visit.
