This is a follow-up to the August 28 announcement about using the IST Telecom Catalog to submit Data Network service requests.
Starting Monday, September 21, 2015, campus customers will be able to place requests for Data Network services using the self-service Telecom Catalog. From Monday (September 21) through Thursday (September 24) of that week, IST will accept Data Network requests submitted via either the Telecom Catalog or the legacy IST Shopping Cart. After Thursday, Data Network requests must be placed using the Telecom Catalog. The Shopping Cart will continue to be available for other services (e.g. ordering UCBackup), but customers will no longer use it to order Data Network products or services. See http://technology.berkeley.edu/news/updates-ordering-data-network-services for the original announcement. We have scheduled some Informational Sessions to go over the upcoming change and to demonstrate how to use the Telecom Catalog for placing Data Network service requests. The schedule is shown below; if you would like to attend one of the sessions, please fill in the google form: http://goo.gl/forms/xw1hvFRtZ5 Informational Sessions: * Tuesday, September 22, 2015 10am-11:30am @ 150 University Hall Webinar: www.readytalk.com; phone 866-740-1260, access code 6429814# * Wednesday, September 23, 2015 2pm-3:30pm Webinar: www.readytalk.com; phone 866-740-1260, access code 6429814# * Thursday, September 24, 2015 2pm-3:30pm Webinar: www.readytalk.com; phone 866-740-1260, access code 6429814# We are in the process of updating the Telecom Catalog in preparation for the September 21 release.
