We have an urgent requirement for Sr. Java Developer (Monitoring Domain Expertise)
Location: San Jose,CA
Duration: 6 months

Typically requires BS/CS degree or equivalent degree, with minimum 6-8 years of experience in software product development or IT development projects. An MS in CS is strongly preferred.
Typically requires BS/CS degree or equivalent degree, with minimum 6-8 years of experience in software product development or IT development projects. An MS in CS is strongly preferred.
Following skills are required:
· Prior experience in the Enterprise Monitoring domain - experience with monitoring tools like SNMP protocol
· Application Availability and Diagnostics using vendor tools like ITCAM for JVM's and OEM (Oracle Enterprise Mgr) for Databases
· Extensive knowledge and development experience in OO programming
· At least 5 years hands on development in Java / J2EE related technologies in a Linux environment
· Good practical knowledge of XML, SOAP-based protocols, Service oriented architectures and MVC Architecture (using frameworks like Struts and technologies like Apache velocity)
· Experience using Perl in a SOA environment (message based, multiple language) environment a plus
· Good understanding of databases (Oracle 9i and 10g)
· Good understanding of Software Development Lifecyles (SDLC) like Agile, Waterfall, RUP etc.
· Expertise in at least one Application Server: JBOSS, Tomcat, Websphere etc.
· Experience working with JMS technologies, TIBCO, Web Services
· Experience with Agile methodologies (like extreme programming) is a big plus
