This is my direct client opening for (Job) Graphic Designer with Web Development Experience - Charleston, WV. This is a 6 Months contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. *Description:* This assignment is focused on content development to assist our full-time team in migrating content from old web sites into new templates. Client is launching a new CMS-driven Web platform in the fall of 2008 that will eventually host the marketing content of its nine divisions in multiple languages. There is extensive asset management, optimization and production work to be done, as well as page set-up and testing work. Special design skills such as Flash animation capabilities or digital video/audio editing and asset prep for the Web are needed. Hand-coding ability is preferred – but use of a WYSIWYG HTML code.generator is acceptable. Knowledge of Web 2.0 best practices and coding is vital. *General Requirements* · Create a s high-caliber interactive design · Codes and tests communication campaigns for the Web, Online advertising and other new media delivery modes · Expertise in HTML email design, writing for the Web, Web site design, graphics, sound and video file optimization are musts · Adobe Creative Suite skills are essential. HTML coding abilities and FLASH animation experience are musts · Composes layouts for Web and online campaigns · Participates in the development and execution of online marketing strategies · Possesses keen knowledge of composition and color theory/application · Possesses a mastery of Flash animation, file optimization for the Web and digital video editing skills · Contributes high-quality interface design and information architecture to interactive efforts · Renders graphics, charts and presentations from written information, data or tables · Selects, composes, retouches or manipulates photographs, sound and video for online uses · Estimates time and effort to complete design portions of projects, and then keeps design efforts within that scope · Contributes to brainstorms and ideation sessions for team projects · May art direct original photo or video shoots · May use digital camera or video camera · Tests compatibility of solutions.
