Job Title: Teradata Architect Location: Portland, OR Job Type: 6+ months Contract Rate: OPEN Description: ** Drive consensus agreement on business data definitions and rules; similarly, with data architects and logical/physical modelers, lead the rationalization of data stores and corresponding data origination/flow for master data, transaction data and derived/calculated and summary data ** Work with Enterprise data architects and physical modelers to assess preliminary data volumetrics and key estimating parameters for core master data and transaction data; develop sizing estimates for EDW and ERP DW data stores of all types. ** Work with modelers, developers and specialists and interdependent IT and process teams to define key activities, timelines, resources and critical paths. ** Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies, particularly for enterprise-wide data architectures, data management and data warehousing/BI and through experience with large, complex Enterprise DataWarehouse initiatives ** Strong communicator at all levels and with both business and technology teams ** Detail oriented with excellent follow through. ** Ability to prioritize and multi-task across numerous work streams. Experience/Skills: 10+ years Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Architecture 3+ years data management / information management components for large, complex, enterprise-wide ERP based EDW solutions 3+ years Teradata Skilled in data modeling, design & architecture principles across master data management, transaction data and derived / analytic data Expert in OLTP & BI / Business Intelligence data storage / data management technologies Please send relevant resumes with rate and contact information.
