*Job Title: *Business Analyst *Description: * Position: Senior InSource Renewal Retention and APOs Support Analyst Department: Contract Administration Summary: Direct overall InSource renewal process for achievement of approximately $40 million annual revenue; keep renewal resources productive and focused on priorities; ensure renewals are renewed and billed. Other responsibilities include defining and supporting APO (Agreements, Pricing, Orders) database processes; define and maintain yearly PAC (product access), develop report views and data extracts to analyze strategic information; design and implement order forms, contract agreement forms, schedule-of-charges, creating and maintaining yearly price and product master files; provide training and support to users. Accountabilities • Define and manage rollover of prior year orders into new year renewal orders and related workflows; coordinate activities for programming, testing to ensure integrity of rollover data and deployment; includes assisting with renewal order creation and development of system generated renewal packets, monitoring routing signoffs to keep process moving and prevent bottlenecks, printing, quality checking including rejecting errors back for rework, monitoring client response and order processing, ensuring proper billing and fulfillment; escalate issues for prompt resolution. Errors and bottlenecks can cause substantial expense and delay. • Examine performance of systems, processes, and workflow efficiencies including tactical and strategic implications related to responsibilities and identify key drivers for cost effective improvements; understand and translate user needs into written functional specifications and designs; assist in development and maintenance of initiatives being sure to meet legal requirements and incorporate Thomson branding and message into all aspects; collaborate with and ensure impacted parties review and approve modifications; maintain confidentially of sensitive information; ensure changes support company/departmental standards and strategic directives; conduct acceptance testing of new or modified processes for conformity to specifications; develop and maintain system generated email notifications to clients based on order content; follow-up with users to ensure user satisfaction; troubleshoot support issues. • Integrate and support company wide customer segmentation initiative by participating in requirements gathering, design specifications, and working with teams to adapt contact management, APOs, Account File, and Product Analysis databases for collection of Total Revenues, % Foreign Revenue, Total Assets, Number of Employees, Public or Private designation, SIC (standard industry code), Industry Type and other information needed for customer analysis, targeted promotions, campaigns, and mailings; assist in developing methods for keeping segmentation information current. • Review and understand sales and marketing collateral content, sales comp plans, and other documentation for impact on responsibilities and from an orders and contracts perspective, verify Client expectations are properly set and warranties are met through review and counsel to content writers. • Annually create crucial price and product master files used by integral processes such as order processing, inventory, electronic filing statistics, billing, sales tax calculation, General Ledger, revenue reporting, and other consequential processes with periodic updates throughout the year when new products are introduced or existing products change or are discontinued; annually map InSource products from order tables for download to sales contact management system. • Annually define, with periodic updates during the year, PAC (product access code) specifications; verify PAC processes occur daily. Work with SAT to test PACs prior to each product release; develop, maintain, and communicate PAC procedures to sales, marketing, and others with a need to know; troubleshoot PAC issues. • Research and consult with users on a broad-range of analytical and information questions or problems respective to responsibilities including associated policies and procedures; escalate problems when necessary; prepare and conduct presentations or training sessions with users from many different departments; develop ad-hoc report views and data extracts of client information, sales units, revenue, compensation, promotions, campaigns, product growth trends, client profitability, and other critical information for analysis; create and maintain sales rep handbook containing pricing, policies, and product information; periodically review and make recommendations to sales proposal kit. • Define products for inventory setup and coordinate CD release schedules and packaging of shipments through Product Description process and CD Product Schedule; help reduce COGS while maintaining Client satisfaction through effective CD packaging and release management.
