Since center- based methodologies are utilized within the KCSC, the candidate must be comfortable working with multiple operating systems such as Vmware, AIX, HPUX, Solaris and Linux environments. This position will be mainly ESX/Linux. This position will also participate in the installation, monitoring and maintenance of UNIX based backup and recovery systems and participate in the implementation, and ongoing administration of multiple SAN architectures such as EMC, IBM and SUN HDS. This position will mainly support IBM DS* models, and IBM SVC. The successful candidate will also participate in the implementation, testing, and maintenance of High Availability server fail-over configurations. This position will participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and require some off hour and weekend The successful candidate will also need to have excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language.
