· Exposed to “cutting edge” technologies developing a reporting
portal and required to design and build business intelligence tools and
solutions for executive management and business users. **
· Strong organizational, communication, and relationship
skills. *Cognos
8 suite of products; Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Powerplay and Framework
Manager*. *Cognos SDK* . **
· Function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and
also a strong “A” team player and flexible to adapt as the project evolves.*

· *3 yr Cognos experience / 5 yr minimum of related IT experience*.

*· *Analytic, problem solving, and collaborative, strong data *modeling
(Normalized and Multidimensional for Data Marts, Star Schema, Snow-Flake
Modeling, Fact and Dimensional Modeling). *
· *SQL programming / Store Procedures, relational Databases such as
Oracle, MS SQL, UDB, implementing ETL, design, create, and refresh Powerplay
cubes using Powerplay Transformer,* creating multi-prompt reports with
drill-thru capabilities, designing and developing charts, graphs and
Dashboards, implementing Cognos Security. **
· Design and develop analytic and reporting solutions using *Cognos
8, .Net, Oracle, SQL and potentially other standard web and reporting tools,
Design and develop executive dashboards, key performance indicators,* Work
with project team to design, develop and implement new reporting web portal,
Work with data architects to develop data models, design specifications, and
metadata documentation, Assist in the development and architecting data
warehouse initiatives and reporting needs for the business, maintain the
scheduling, distribution, bursting and refresh for reports, Create
documentation and procedures with system deliverables, application design,
and changes planned for production environment, *Full life cycle methodology
including change management processes and ensuring changes are properly
tested and migrated to production, Provide subject matter expertise and
guidance to less experienced staff members***
