McLean, VA * * *Job Description: PeopleSoft (HRMS – Human Resource Management System) – Project Manager* * * *Salary: $70k to $80k* * * *Minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft HRMS, eRecruit and/or Self Service implementation experience is required, with heavy emphasis full development life cycle deliverables and controls. *Proactively manage daily business interface with identified internal business area contacts, external suppliers, consultants and contractors to ensure needs are met, risk is mitigated and a uniform process exists. ** * * * * Manage multiple, sometimes complex, application development and enhancement projects. Plan and coordinate with customers, other development teams and with business areas and IS support areas. Make recommendations regarding hiring and retention of staff and assign, motivate, evaluate, train and counsel assigned staff. Coordinate system changes across multiple platforms, develop and execute comprehensive project plans, and negotiate project scope, deliverables, and schedule. Ensure that projects follow technical standards, documentation and implementation procedures. Provide direction to project technical staff for projects and production support. Manage teams of assigned analysts and consultants. Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience and ten years of experience in all phases of systems and application development. Role will serve in a project management capacity responsible for delivering integrated solutions, leveraging PeopleSoft solutions. Responsible for formal, integrated delivery plan to include all technical and non-technical dependencies. Will drive detailed execution oversight, status reporting, risk assessment/escalation, budgeting, and resource forecasts. Will work with business leads to assess impact of issues and provide alternative solutions/recovery plans to ensure goals are achieved. Will also provide and drive technical oversight where appropriate and collaborate with technical leads across the IT teams. Must have ability to influence at the senior stakeholder level.
