Send resume to an...@aim-cc.com *Sr. Project Manager** Rate * *: Open* *Location: Rockville MD** Client: Thomson Reuters Duration: Until May 2011* The position of Senior Project Manager will drive Wealth Management segment implementations by motivating and directing project teams, which may include cross-functional work streams at TR, clients, and TR partners. The Senior Project Manager will have sole responsibility for delivering large or complex client product implementations within WM segment product suite, or integration of several products across TF segments’ product lines on time and within budget. There will be up to 40% travel. - Plan and manage client deliverables from contract throughout the entire product development lifecycle (PDLC), launch to day 2 support -Create the overall project plan including but not limited to structure, cross work stream’s deliverables, and technical tasks. - Develop a professional rapport with the client project teams that you interface with and maintain an excellent level of client satisfaction. - Track and resolve issues across multiple TF and client work streams involved in the project. - Proactively identify and provide mitigation plans for any potential risks to the project’s overall success. - Monitor and report progress against the plan. - Facilitate regular project status meetings internally and externally throughout the duration of the project. - Report status of the project using various MS office tools to present the appropriate level of detail based on the target audience. - Act as primary interface with the client regarding deliverables, change requests, and sign-off on status and requirements. Successful management of a project from inception through deployment on time and within budget. Exceed goals and expectations on a client facing project through exceptional project management skills. Recognized as a team player who directly contributes to the success of projects as well as overall company mission goals. Skills needed: - *10 + years of technical project management experience (within financial services with a technical bent)* - Experience working within a structured Systems Development lifecycle (SDLC) process - *Strong client interaction, interpersonal and leadership skills. *- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient use of MS Office suite (including Visio). - Experience managing geographically diverse teams. - Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture. - Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals on a consistent basis. - Ability to quickly grasp and understand technical specifications, issues and concepts. - *Knowledge of financial services business as it pertains to Wealth Management, Institutional Management / Banking, Brokerage or Market Data companies.* - Strong understanding of financial instruments. - PMI Certification is a plus. - *COMMUNICATION SKILLS must be EXCELLENT! * - *Pref that candidate have exp from a big 5 company. They need to be able to roll up their sleeves and get things done. Manager does not want to see candidates that have over one hour commute to the work site. * - Nice if they were a Certified Financial Planner (CFA/CFP) Partner with seasoned client project managers and / or client technical team members throughout the duration of the project to establish an integrated project plan, status reporting methods, tracking processes, and project communication forums. Be the liaison to the client on a day-to-day basis as it pertains to the project and as well as to existing implementations of TF products. Work with interdepartmental managers whose team members are assigned to a cross functional work stream on your project. Report status to management within the Wealth Management Segment.
