Candidates need to have CLI (command line interface) experience – 2-3 years minimally and they have experience working /researching kernel issues” UNIX Consultant Required Skills · 7+ years of Unix system administration experience with two of the following flavors: Solaris, Linux, AIX, HP-UX. · Demonstrated ability to build UNIX systems from the ground up, including automation of the OS installation process. · 3+ years of experience installing and supporting at least one of the following application servers: BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, ATG Dynamo, and JBOSS including configuring database communication. · Should have the ability to configure, diagnose and troubleshoot J2EE application server concerns such as connection/thread pool sizing, race conditions, and content and application deployment. · Experience installing/configuring web server software (Netscape, iPlanet, Apache) and configuring those installations to communicate with application servers. This is a Senior Consultant role to serve in a leadership role for professional services engagements. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for the overall success of a project including fulfillment of the client requirements and adherence to the approved project architecture. This requires a willingness to make best practice recommendations (even if they are rejected), as well as to actively call out problematic delivery situations (both technical and managerial). The Senior Consultant should be comfortable in multiple roles: systems/application architect, build engineer, troubleshooter, sales engineer, and trusted technical advisor. The individual will work day to day with various levels within client organizations, from technology VP's, to individual developers, to application architects. Thus, the Senior Consultant must be comfortable considering, evaluating, and recommending various technology solutions. This role is primarily a customer-facing role and considerable time on site at the customer location is key to success. This may involve significant travel requirements. The Senior Consultant is the point person in developing trust and a solid working relationship with the client, which often requires daily face-to-face interaction with both the client managerial and technical leadership. -- Thanks & Regards..
