*Project Description:*
The EAM System Administrator administers and configures the multiple Maximo
applications, databases and other supporting applications. The role requires
a clear understanding of Maximo from the user point of view, as well as, the
technical knowledge to administer and configure, including implementation,
database setup, security, maintenance, and customization.
· Responsible to perform daily system checks to assure proper system
operation.
· Participate in analyzing all EAM system problems, diagnosing and
finding the root cause, and serving as the primary lead for achieving
problem resolution.
· Responsible for adding/modifying/activating user account
information, granting access to Maximo Modules / reports, resetting
passwords, etc.
· Responsible for maintaining the Maximo system configuration
documentation.
· Participate with DBA to analyze and tune the EAM system to achieve
optimum system performance.
· Moderates the interface processes between Maximo and external
systems reviewing the daily log files for proper operation.
· Responsible for Maximo screen modifications.
· Responsible to Coordinate the Maximo environments at a system
files level and manages / migrates all file changes to all environments
including production, test and development.
· Cooperate with the EAM Oracle DBA to create and modify Maximo data
fields, value lists, tables and columns.
· Responsible for managing the Maximo electronic auditing process /
tables and facilitates the retrieval of record histories.
· Responsible for administering the Actuate server to manage report
operation
· and user access. Also assists in the development of Maximo
reports, KPIs and ad hoc queries.
· Responsible for administering the Maximo linked documents and
related data

· Participate as a team member for any design / development
activities effecting the EAM system and analyzes modifications to external
systems to which the EAM system is dependant to assure continued proper
interaction
· Advanced knowledge, both functionally and technically, of the
Maximo systems. Demonstrated experience as System Administrator for Maximo
· MXES and Actuate for minimum 3 years.
· Working knowledge of asset management and work management
processes and practices.
· Working knowledge of Oracle SQL databases with proficiency in SQL
queries, logging methods and database tools used to access the database,
such as TOAD, SQL Plus, etc. Advanced understanding of the database
dependencies as outlined in the entity relationship diagram of Maximo data
structures. Proficient with ODBC setup and configuration.
· Working knowledge of installing Maximo applications, patches,
upgrades, customizations and performing modifications to the Maximo system.
· Able to understand, communicate and precisely document technical
issues.
· Good writing skills are required as the EAM System Administrator
is responsible to assure that system documentation is thorough, complete and
up-to-date.
· Able to identify, research, and resolve system / data problems
· Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving software / data
problems
· Stays current on developments and advancing technologies by MRO
· Working knowledge of IBM WebSphere version 6 or above
· Working knowledge of Maximo Enterprise Adaptor (MEA)
