C2C * *** 5 POSITIONS *** *Notes from Manager: Must have a solid Network Infrastructure background with some Project Management or Lead experience behind them.* The SE Planner represents Technology Operations to the BIO (Business Information Officer) organizations for investment projects. The planner performs the activities associated with devising and maintaining a workable project plan to accomplish the business needs that the project was undertaken to address. To meet project commitments, the planner obtains resource commitments as needed from Technology Operations Support towers, other infrastructure teams, and manages carrier services delivery. They provide budget and resource estimates to the project manager, communicate variances, provide documentation as required to assists the project manager in compliance with standard project processes, and communicate scheduled changes and rollouts to Technology Operations management and support staff. Communications conduit between BIO/Business & ETO Duties • Applicant is responsible for participating in design, development and implementation of specific infrastructure technologies, platforms and services • Assesses technical viability of infrastructure products and technologies. • Works with developers and infrastructure specialists to implement infrastructure technologies. • Participates in development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures. • Monitors and analyzes new product performance and makes recommendations to enhance or modify as needed. • Represents Enterprise Technology Organization (ETO) to the BIO and other supporting organizations. • Performs the activities associated with devising and maintaining a workable project plan to accomplish the business needs that the project was undertaken to address. • Partners with cross functional IT groups, business customers and third party vendors to provide solutions utilizing technologies supported in Enterprise Technology Operations (ETO) while meeting application requirements and the business needs of the projects. • Accountable for ensuring solutions are aligned with the long-term target architecture of the company. • Tests, documents, and plans the resulting designs within the technical framework developed by Strategic Technologies. • Prepare and/or coordinate the development of documentation and graphics for projects, programs, and initiatives related to systems, installations/builds, and operations • Effectively communicates and turns over solution to production environment and technical support to insure seamless transition. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Devising and maintain a workable project plans to accomplish the business efforts • Strong data center background as a systems/network/database administrator or equivalent data center/infrastructure leader • Strong leadership and negotiation skills. • Ability to understand finances, including forecast creation, budgeting and procurement of assets/services. • Ability to leverage and make optimal use of both internal and external resources • Ability to mange competing and fluctuating business investment. • Ability to perform cost/benefit/risk assessments and analysis • Strong consultation and customer interaction skills Acceptable Experience and Training (list certifications where applicable) Four-year undergraduate degree or comparable time in work experience required- minimum 7 years experience. Provides IT systems support that may include duties such as installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing. Also performs quality assurance processes to effectively manage system availability and improve operations. Includes high-level support of networks, such as administration, server builds and upgrades, domain configuration, and performance and tuning. Also includes network administration.
