We have an immediate requirement for BaaN Administrator at WI. * * *Title: BaaN Administrator* * * *Location: Milwaukee, WI* * * *Duration: 6 Months* * * *Skill & Job Description:* * * - Responsible for administration, maintenance and implementation of Baan ERP and Cognos BI systems and policies, procedures for ensuring security and integrity of these systems. - Evaluate, recommend, and install patch management for Baan and its integration systems (Cognos BI, Safari Reporting and Openworld). *Job Functions:* Ø Develop, implement and maintain programs, scripts and routines needed to automate Baan administration as well as application sync to disaster recovery system. Ø Define and implement ERP standards, policies and procedures for BaaN systems making sure they are in compliance with Bucyrus Security policies. Ø Monitor BaaN and its integration systems activities to assure continuous operation at acceptable levels, including interpreting error reports. Ø Monitor the BaaN application sync between primary and DR servers and perform role switching of BaaN application if necessary. Ø Reviewing, analyzing and implementing approved System Change Requests to the Baan system Ø Baan patche management using PMC and export/import. Ø Manage and administer multi VRC environment that include MCR and localizations. Ø Analyze and detect application performance bottlenecks using script profiling and debug. Ø Import and export information into BaaN system through exchange schemes/ GTM Ø Ensuring best practices and standards are employed and keep BaaN system related SOX procedures current. Ø Apply and coordinate testing of BaaN service packs and porting sets. Ø Monitor and administer Baan4 systems running on Oracle and UNIX platform. Ø Perform full scope of administrative and monitoring task of BaaN integrations with Cognos BI system. Ø Support BaaN integrations to Safari reporting, Faxing, Cognos and Openworld. Ø Basic Oracle database administration tasks required for Baan administration. Ø Interface with internal and external auditors during BaaN audits and address findings post audit. *Knowledge Requirements:* - Strong Knowledge of BAAN ERP tools and administration. - Good experience developing UNIX scripts to automate Baan administration tasks. - Good understanding of Oracle and SQL Server databases and the database interaction with Baan ERP systems. *Experience Needed:* - At least 7 years of IT experience of which - Minimum 5 years administrating Baan4 systems on UNIX environment. - Minimum 2 years administrating Baan4 systems on Oracle databases. - Cognos BI experience with Baan4c4 is desired. - Previous experience working with internal and external auditors for ERP audits will be a plus. - BaaN Tools Certifications is great plus.
