Support user needs and requests for company internet/intranet web changes in functionality and troubleshooting identified problems in the portal/web environment. Also support the portal upgrade project, maintenance internal portal, and assist where needed with other tasks. *Knowledge & Experience Requirement*: Portal/Java Developer with the required skills • Websphere Portal v.6 *Mandatory* • RAD 6.0/7.0 (going to 7.5) *Mandatory * • *STRUTS Mandatory* • *Portlet design: JSR 168 compliant – mandatory* *– must have done a portlet design* • *SQL (Oracle) – strong plus* • 2+ Portlet Factory Development (strong plus) • 5 plus years + Java/J2EE Development • Webservices • Ideally, also experienced in Java script, AJAX, LDAP, XML A developer with Java-standard, Portlet-based Application Development on IBM Platform. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have at least 5 years of J2EE Development. 2+ years IBM Websphere Portal, developing portlets, JSPs and Servlets, SOAP-based Web Services. Also prefer that candidate have 2+ years with Javascript including AJAX. Must be proficient in creating Portal WCM components, portal themes and skins. Candidate must show proficiency in writing and debugging stored procedures and complex SQL queries for reporting or for data retrieval to be used in Java applications. *Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be to interact with users to solve user related issues, troubleshoot system problems and solve business needs.* Individual must be willing and able to research issues independentlyand be assertive with respect to solving problems.
