*Position*: Systems Engineer* (1)* *Location*: Dallas, TX* **(MUST be local)*** *Length*: 6 months w/option for additional time *Start Date*: ASAP *Rate: * $40.00*hr All inclusive * *Overview:* The Consultant will manage & maintain both Windows and Red Hat Linux servers *. Consultant will be a expert in Active Directory 2003 and Exchange 2007.* Ensure that Active Directory & Exchange infrastructure is managed effectively and that processes and procedures are developed to maintain systems integrity with high availability. Interface with various groups to gather requirements for new projects and work technical issues. *Requirements:* 1. Must have 3-5 yrs of *Enterprise Windows Servers and Active Directory exp & 2+ years RedHat Linux system administration in a multi-platform network,* prefer working knowledge with version 4.x. Ø RedHat Linux administration and networking; Common network and TCP/IP protocols (Telnet, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS); 2. Day-to-day responsibilities for system capacity planning, system administration, performance monitoring, software installation, software and system maintenance including: Ø Configuring and supporting RedHat Linux and Window servers in an Active Directory 2003 environment with SUN Identity Management solutions.(plus) Ø Recognized as a technical expert in Microsoft Active Directory 2003, ADAM, Exchange 2000/2007, and BES. Ø Administration, maintenance and support of the global messaging systems. Ø Supporting RedHat Linux and Windows servers in a storage area network environment and a virtualized environment. Ø Understanding of networking concepts, tools, and techniques related to RedHat Linux and Windows servers, web services, clustering and load balancing. Ø In-depth and strong practical knowledge of RedHat Linux as well as Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and Networking environment. 3. Implement and maintain server-monitoring systems that enable proactive management of those systems. 4. Strong problem solving, testing, and network troubleshooting skills 5. Meticulous attention to detail with an appreciation for the relationship between system reliability and company success.
