*Consultant Role/Responsibilities on Engagement:*

*DBMS Standards – Enterprise Database Architect*
* *
*Skills Required:*
* *
* (a) Sr. Level Model Management Resource*
- Strong, hands-on experience as an operational DBA, responsible for
production install, operations support, query optimization, performance
analysis and optimization, backup/recovery
- Strong, hands-on experience with Internal Technology Standards,
standards frameworks, governance processes
- Strong, hands-on experience with:
1. *DB2/UDB - various versions and platforms (UDB, z/OS), including 7,
8, 9, 9.5*
2. *MS SQL Server 2005 EE (32 & 64 bit) & MS SQL 2008 EE, SE (32 & 64)
*
3. *Oracle 9i,10g and 11g (additional experience with RAC and ASM are
a plus) *
- Experience with Widows, Solaris and AIX Operating Systems
- Experience with developing and documenting use cases and test cases
- Experience with test scripts, test execution, capture and documenting
results
- Experience with Microsoft AD, Kerberos and LDAP5
- Experience with Data Storage platforms and including SAN and SSD
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Sparx EA
models, TOAD
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and verify current vendor supported GA DBMS versions and
releases that correspond to CLIENT’SS-071, S-072 standards
- Identify and coordinate with appropriate SME’s
- Develop evaluation criteria and considerations, including NFR’s
(Performance, Scalability, Capacity, Availability, etc.), Backup/Recovery,
Security, Integration, etc.
- Define use cases and test cases that would effectively validate (or
invalidate) the databases
- Oversight and execution of test cases and including documentation of
test results
- Develop and document recommendations
- Validate and socialize test results and recommendations
- Update the S-071 and S-072 standards, publish and communicate
