*Title: DB2 Data Modeler*
*Rate – 55 per hour*
*Location: Warren, NJ*
*Duration: 6-9 months+*
*Must be GC Holder or Citizen *
*ESSENTIAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:-*
- The position is for an experienced RELATIONAL DATA MODELER (not a DB2
DBA).
- The Data Modeler will be responsible for gathering, understanding,
modeling, documenting and communicating necessary data requirements.
- Work with Technical, Business teams to create logical data models: Create
logical entities and define their attributes; and define relationships
between the various data objects.
- The designs should ensure high-data quality and reduced data redundancy.
- Support new and existing development projects with logical data and
process modeling activities.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries.
*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:-*
* *
B.S. with a concentration in business or technology.
- 8+ years experience in relational and dimensional modeling, including the
development of entity relationship diagrams.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ERWin and Visio.
- Strong people skills including the ability to effectively and concisely
communicate orally and in writing across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills including the ability to solve
problems in a systematic, logical and effective way leveraging defined
processes and methods.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and ability to work
independently to meet individual and team goals.
- Ability to handle multiple projects or issues concurrently.
- Familiar with concepts and strategies of a Service Oriented Architecture
(SOA).
