Subject: Re: [Microsofts_C_Sharp] Visual
C# 2005 Express to Visual Studio.NET 2002
Hello,
They are two diffrent versions Visual C# 2002 is very old (2 years) or is
it 3. Express uses .NET 2.0 which is newer and the editor has been changed
etc. So they will not directly get converted back because it has been changed.
Express is still a beta but I think it should be able to read c# 2002
files.
I really like C# 2005 but apperantley they have delayed the release till
middle of next year thats like June I like to release my applications. I think
C# 2005 has along way to go yet but it looks mint and they are a few more
attractive controls that are useful and XP style buttons etc.
I am really looking forward to C# 2005 but I want them to take their time
because I don't want a buggy compiler or a unfinished language like visual
studio 2003 thats really rushed i think!
Abyways hope this helped,
Rob

Hello!
I
use Visual Studio.NET 2002 in my desktop, and have
downloaded Visual C#
2005 Express Edition for my
laptop. While I am able to convert VS.NET
projects
into VC#.NET projects, I can't seem to convert
projects from
VC# to Visual Studio.NET 2002! The
reverse compatibility does not seem to
be supported.
Will be very glad if someone can point me in the
right
direction
:-)
best,
Tejus
