About the Sr. Software Engineer Opportunity
InfoSpace is a diversified technology and services company developing
and marketing Internet and wireless solutions. The Data Warehouse
Group works with each InfoSpace business unit to provide the key
performance indicators and detailed information required to
successfully run their business and be competitive in their
marketplace. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Data Warehouse
Engineering Dept, you will be architecting and building the data
warehouse solutions used by the business units.
Essential Job Duties
Design, development, and deployment of ETL processes and data
marts
Experience designing star schemas and dimensional models
Designing and creating reusable technical components and
infrastructure
Technical documentation
Project estimation
Required Skills, Education & Experience
Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field
5+ years experience in software development.
3+ years experience in ETL processing and data warehouse
development
Proficiency in MS-SQL Server, .NET technology (ADO.Net,
ASP.Net), C#
Proficiency in writing SQL scripts and stored procs
Experience with Perl and DTS
Experience with Business Objects Data Integrator a plus
Demonstrable track record in delivering reliable software
products on time
Full product lifecycle experience:
requirements/development/testing/deployment in production
Excellent individual and team skills
Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
