Dear Sir / Madam,

We are doing application development in Lecture reference control
using Visual Basic 6.0 as front-end tool and MS Access as a back-end
tool. To capture eye pictures, our product supports DV series
cameras. We are having the list of driver files which are being used
to capture picture from DV series camera. Along with our application
setup, we are doing installation of D-Link camera driver files also.
Whenever system finds a plug-in camera device, it invokes the
hardware installation wizard to install the driver for the d-link.
This is working fine and well.

Now, we want to detect the driver automatically when camera device
is plug-in into computer, with out having to ask user to select the
driver file paths. That is, we want to do the necessary things along
with our setup itself. With plug-in camera device, system should not
prompt for driver installation wizard and it has to automatically
select the driver which is already installed. This will make user
friendly application, as many of the users are not aware of
installation of hardware devices.

Regarding the aforesaid problem, we need support from your end. For
this when I am creating install shield, I integrated all the driver
files with setup. This setup was created using DEV STUDIO 9.0
software. With installation of this software I am copying all the
files in necessary paths. But when I hook the camera USB to USB port
of the computer still it asking the drivers. But I need to install
the drivers fully. For this installation, what I have to do? Is
there any install shield software to create setup file with driver
files.

We appreciate your help.

Camera Model: DV 55U
Driver Name: DSB – V100

Thanking you,

Regards,

Sree Kiran Kumar. Nageli
