Title:  Web Application Prototype Developer or Web Application Programmer Location:  Ideally, developers will be based in Northern New Jersey or the San Francisco Bay Area.  Probably 60 to 70% of the development work can be done remotely – so excellent candidates based outside of these two locations will be considered. Requirements:  Advanced programming expertise (rapid prototyping) in DreamWeaver, _javascript_ and HTML. Desired:  Advanced Computer Science degree (MS, PhD), or equivalent experience.  Experience developing web-based applications, or application prototypes, with complex levels of behavior will be considered a big plus. Job Description:  Work closely with members of The KOHL Group’s Human Factors Design and Usability Evaluation Team, as well as members of our client’s applications development team, to develop high-fidelity prototypes from low-fidelity renderings and/or high-level written specifications.  Prototypes will be used by the User Interface Design and Usability Evaluation Team to optimize the usability and usefulness of a suite of business operations support applications, including financials, human resources, CRM, Manufacturing, and Project Management.  The prototypes that you develop will be used in formative testing and usability evaluations – after each step in the evaluation process, recommended changes will be made in the prototypes for further testing – rapid turn-around in the prototype development process is a critical part of this evaluation process.
