Objectives
After this course student will be
- To build robust
platform-independent GUI applications & applets using JFC and Java’s
object oriented features
- To apply
object-oriented concepts like encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance,
polymorphism and composition in JAVA applications
- To exploit advanced
language features including interfaces, Collection, IO and
exceptions.
- To build multi-tier,
robust and scalable data-driven web applications with server-side java
technologies
- To integrate Java
Beans & Custom Tags in JSP to minimize scriptlet code
- To build robust,
secure distributed systems using advanced Java programming
- To develop flexible
data-aware applications using Java Database Connectivity (JDBC)
- To use Remote Method
Invocation (RMI) to provide pure Java distributed applications
- To Connect to
industry-standard directory and naming services using JNDI
- To build loosely
coupled, flexible enterprise systems using Java Message Service (JMS)
- Interact with legacy
system using RMI and JMS
- Create
self-discovering & system with Jini and JavaSpaces
- To develop &
deploy reusable component-based distributed applications with EJB

Project
Participants of this course are required to submit
two projects and a properly written UML documentation of their work at the
