SCO Seeks Injunction to Stop AIX Sales, Linux Could Be Next

The Unix and Linux communities were sitting on pins and needles the other day, as everyone was waiting to see what The SCO Group would do in its escalating legal battle with IBM. On Monday afternoon, SCO filed an amendment to its original lawsuit asking the US District Court of Utah to compel IBM to stop using and distributing AIX and to destroy or return all copies of Unix System V to SCO after revoking its license to Unix. HP, JDE Team Up to Push Apps on Wintel Iron

At the Quest Global user conference for users of J.D. Edwards' ERP applications in Denver today, Hewlett Packard Co and JDE will announce that the two companies will start delivering in August a prebundled, preintegrated JDE 5-on-ProLiant solution running on top of Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.
