Eivind: It'll definitely be useful :-).  Thanks for the work  In the meantime a quick test with the airline example didn't show any different results, still the #parse substitution issue. Maybe I need to start over with the full cvs version. I only compiled the adapter and struts plugin from cvs and replaced the libraries in the last distribution.  Maybe that's what causes the problem, even though it doesn't make sense to me. Also, I made a separate test with velocity and the #parse substitution appears to work. Looks like a rather trivial problem, once it's tracked down ;-).
