I know another one which is seems to be much more powerful and
flexible - it is UdmSearch from Russia (see http://mysearch.udm.net/
for more). It keeps all data in SQL database, does multilanguage and
multicharsets support, and already has PHP front-end (with boolean
functions). Additional CGI script has ability to use iSpell
dictionaries to filter out words and reduce word's forms. It has
separated into indexer and front-end. Indexer could be called via
cron, while front-end could be directly integrated into Midgard (even
for about several minutes).
