I compiled it as standard Redhat with 2 or 3 modifications and it
works very well. 

I, for myself, prefer standard pathes of selfcompiled programs. It's
easier to bring non-SuSE programs to work.

For future releases a SuSE spec for the MP would be nice and I'll try
to send you the diffs to create a SuSE spec.
