I have been reading the tutorial...I think it is a great thing and it
helped confirm a bunch of things I had tried to put together but hadn't
quite. I would love to help write if you want some other perspective. I
also wanted to set out a list of things which I could have, or could still,
use.
A separate downloadable function reference would be a huge help at this
point...the online is ok but I usually print out so I can have it at my
elbow while I make a mess.
I haven't quite figured out where the code-init works in. I made one
(copied) just because it was in the VMUC site but don't see where it gets
called....I may just be missing it....that might be related to the function
section, I haven't had a chance to check....
####One feature that might be nice to add is a repository of all the code
chunks, within a sinlge install that are built so they could be worked
across different projects...I am still playing with that and with the
implications of the (content) call so I may be missing something.that would
also make it possible for people to easily plugin known working code from
the example....
I agree that this tutorial shouldn't be a substitute for knowing how to
edit http.conf, or set up DNS, but it wouldn't hurt to address quickly how
that all works...I know for myself I had set up apache a few times but
hadn't really looked at virutal servers before...I think the tutorial does
a decent job but it might consider a little more....
Lastly...and keep in mind, my college degress are in painting.....pictures
and diagrams would be a huge help....while I understand the casscading
building blocks that make up a page...a diagram would make that point real
quick...especially when you throw in the (content) reference....
just a thought.....
