The information present here will be updated and folded into the manual soon. These modules are built against 1.3.6, as that is the apache version that comes with redhat 6.0 (which is what I'm currently building for/with). I'll upgrade to 6.1 Real Soon Now[tm]. I've experienced mixed results with apache modules built for non-matching apache versions, so I think the 1.3.6 requirement for the modules is currently the right thing to do. Once I upgrade the requirement will move up with that. Instead of --forcing the install, I would recommend building your own RPMs for the moment. I'll gladly mail you the specfile.
