Ah, very good! First, you'll probably want to subscribe
to our both mailing lists (midgard and midgard-dev) and
fetch the sources of Midgard 1.2.x and Midgard 2 from
the CVS repository.
The procedure we've been following with new contributors
has usually been to first work for a while via email and
then provide the needed permissions for CVS write access
and Web site modification.

The internationalization project is very important for
wider acceptance of Midgard. Internationalizing
article-based content should be quite straightforward
but widgets and text in Midgard code elements are a bit
more difficult matter. Maybe something like the gettext
system would help here?

Is this somehow related to the DAV system? Emile has
been doing research on that area.

Actually, Midgard 2 will be using PHP4. There is already
some preliminary code for that in the CVS repository.

PS. Sorry for my brief answer. I'm just leaving to
Sweden for a few days so I didn't have time to go
through my email properly...
