What message do you see in the log? Can you pinpoint the error
by commenting-out parts of the PHP code to see when it stops
segfaulting?

In what way? Mandrake does not use the exact same FS layout and
apache setup, so the RedHat 6.0 RPMs are not expected to install
flawlessly on Mandrake (or indeed at all).
