You're doing a great job!, I just have a small question, What's wrong with
Udmsearch?
It looks quite promiseing, when reading through the docs, GPL, PHP search
interface, Possible to index serval servers, running on internet or
intranets and it using our free favourite database Mysql ;-)

I've put in a little work on adding native searching to Midgard. A
patch against udmsearch 2.2.1 is available at
http://www.iris-advies.com/php/Emile.Heyns/udmsearch-2.2.1-midgard.patch
This patch changes only the indexer to grovel the midgard database. The
actual searching routines have not been done yet; I'm going to
look for another search engine to use, but if you want to use
udmsearch this may be a start.
