Hi guys,

The new sgmltools release makes it pretty painless to convert sgml to
html. This can be extremely handy for you docwriters out there (we love
you!) so you can 'pre-flight' your work before checking it in.

The steps involved:

1. set up tetex. I've taken the lazy approach and simply installed every
RPM that started with 'tetex' without much thought :)
2. extract sgmltools (http://www.sgmltools.org/download.html), open
up packages/cvs/jadetex/jadetex.dtx, find the line containing
   RequirePackage[german,french,english]{babel} and remove ',french',
   yielding RequirePackage[german,english,dutch]{babel}...
3. configure, make & make install

get the sgml docs from the Midgard cvs repository, and

5. sgmltools -s /usr/local/share/sgml/stylesheets/sgmltools/html.dsl \
   -b html manual

sgmltools will crunch a while and you'll have a new directory 'manual'
with the html version of the Midgard manual.
