For the moment, Midgard is dealing with 8-bit character sets only.
Unicode support is under question, if somebody will contribute his/her
time and efforts, but in general Unicode support will create several
problems aren't directly connected with Midgard but with DB, browsers
and other tools.
BTW, W3C on the latest 15th Unicode conference states that only 1% of Web
sites truly uses Unicode.
