I will be continuing work later on today on the import/export stuff - I have
to write a R&D plan this morning..

anyway,

Edit live
The frame based admin does not _rely_ on edit live, it just uses it if it is
installed..
As far as I can tell, editlive is about the best of a bad bunch of inline HTML
applets/activex controls - ideally a nice GPL java app would be the best
solution... - It does allow us to give the midgard admin interface to content
developers without to many issues (although I have yet to see the feedback
from the clients yet!)
The edit live is only used on the article editing - I also envision having a
button to edit without edit live..- for systems that have it installed but
need to edit the source...

Source release.
Once the import export is working for hosts, I will be able to release an
'installable version' of the frame based admin - I need some feedback on the
importer to see what issues it has with other systems (preferably with
patches..) - It will _only_ work on Unix systems, as it uses exec and tar..

Design concepts and differences
>From a code concept, alot of the code is taken directly out of the current
admin system, just re-ordered a bit.
>From a design perspective I was trying to reduce/remove the need to scroll
down pages when editing documents. - partly by moving 'less important' info
down to the bottom, and also reducing the amount of 'space' taken up by
graphics..

Anyway - I'll see how far I get this afternoon....
