I have uploaded a revised tarball of the framed admin system http://www.hklc.com/dump/page115.tgz This includes alot of the stuff below, including cookie based settings for box sizes, type of inline editor.... anf optional funky javascript for browsing the tree... To use it you need to use the import code included in the first distribution (in the frames file in http://www.hklc.com/dump/ - for those who missed it the first time :) do just load it up as a page/host, make a new host, or modify an old one - set it's style to Empty - A Root page with <(content)> in it. and pick root page as 'Framed Admin' I have got the DHTML code embeded into a midgard admin page, however, The best I can get it to do is load the page, show the editor, - it quickly flashes up the content, then disappears.... - I guess this is a standard microsoft feature... :) - if anyone want to look at the code and see where it has gone wrong :) - you will need to load up the dhtml images from http://www.hklc.com/dump/imagesdhtml.tgz - and set up an alias on the admin site to /imagesdhtml/ to use them.. /------------------------------------------ > I was looking at making the front entry page a local config page. - > eg a form with > Use Inline editor [No/Editlive/DHTML] > Abstract Box sizes w/h [100] [200] > Content Box sizes w/h [100] [200] > Default menu behaviour [view/edit] > Use Javascript to update menu on changing editwindow [No/Yes] > etc. > THIS IS ALL DONE.. > this would then be stored as cookies in a serialized array - and used in the > various parts to determine what to use... TODO! > Q:how does the codesnippit work? - The docs say that rather than pulling code > from a file it pulls it from the database, but how would you use the address.. > mgd_codesnippit("/testing/aphpfile.php") - would pull from the current host, > and look in the db for a page called aphpfile.php in the testing page??? > > > > regards > > alan > > > > > Sam <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> said: > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: Alan Knowles [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > > Sent: 05 July 2000 06:27 > > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > Subject: [midgard] Framed Admin release > > > > Alan, you said that you had looked at DHTML editors but found them not to > > work. > > What problems did you have? > > > > Sam > > > > > > -- > > This is The Midgard Project's mailing list.
