I was able to build the CVS version Fri night EDT, but this version still seems to have a problem with authentication on a RH 6.2 system. I can turn authentication off in the host table and access the admin site. Anyhow, here's some of the stuff I've done: >From Emile's earlier post about db selection, I used both the <MidgardDatabase midgard midgard midgard> form and the seperate three line form from the stock conf file--no differences seen. I have the following modules loaded in Apache. PAM is no where in site: Loaded modules: mod_midgard, mod_php3, mod_setenvif, mod_so, mod_auth, mod_access, mod_alias, mod_userdir, mod_actions, mod_imap, mod_asis, mod_cgi, mod_dir, mod_autoindex, mod_include, mod_status, mod_negotiation, mod_mime, mod_log_config, mod_env, http_core The debug output from the httpd error log doesn't seem to have much, but here it is: [info] created shared memory segment #4913537 [notice] Apache/1.3.12 (Unix) Midgard/1.4-beta4/SG PHP/3.0.16+Midgard/1.4-beta4/SG configured -- resuming normal operations [info] Server built: Jul 7 2000 21:49:37 [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(825): [client 89.0.0.40] midgard_translate_handler(latin1, http://gnome.quad-sys.com:80 [error] [client 89.0.0.40] Midgard: MidgardDefaultRealm Midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(865): [client 89.0.0.40] Midgard: host record for gnome.quad-sys.com:8080 found (#1) [debug] mod_midgard.c(207): Midgard: database=midgard, username=midgard, password=midgard [debug] mod_midgard.c(825): [client 89.0.0.40] midgard_translate_handler(latin1, http://gnome.quad-sys.com:80 [error] [client 89.0.0.40] Midgard: MidgardDefaultRealm Midgard Anything else I can do, please let me know! -paul -- This is The Midgard Project's mailing list.
