Then try the following:
export LDFLAGS="-L/usr/home/familytr/usr/local/mysql -lmysqlclient"
export LIBS=$LDFLAGS
export LIB=$LDFLAGS
./configure --with-mysql=/usr/home/familytr/usr/local/
