hi folks,
The way we have setup Midgard on our sites, is that we have a separate
machine running the Midgard/Apache combo from what our main sites are
hosted on. E.g., http://mid.north.boothcreek.com/ is on one machine, and
serves up the Midgard content for Northstar, while
http://www.skinorthstar.com/ is the main site for that resort. Both are
running Apache and PHP3.
what I want to do is take a piece of Midgard information, and use it on the
non-midgard host. Basically, this would involve pulling the latest event
from the midgard -enabled calendar of events that we have on
http://mid.north.boothcreek.com/events/ , putting it into a file (?) and
then including it via PHP3 on http://www.skinorthstar.com/
Can I do something like have a single page on the midgard host, that simply
outputs the latest event, then do an <? include "midgard-filename.php3" ?>
or somesuch to get that event, and put it on the page on
http://www.skinorthstar.com/ ?
The reason I want to do this, is so I can have midgard content on the main
site, without having to build the entire main site (or main page) in
Midgard or on the midgard host machine.
I appreciate any ideas and thoughts on this. Sorry if it's not clear, let
me know and I can try to clarify if need be.
thanks,
