I started work on a Postgres port of Midgard, but haven't had time to work on it for a little while. I hope to get back to it shortly, but given my time constraints, I'll probably want to concentrate on making sure Midgard 2.0 works well with Postgres. I doubt there will be much in the way of alternative database support for Midgard 1.4, but I suspect it will be built-in from the beginning when the Midgard 2.0 branch is started.
