With all of the activity around Aurora and the coming of 1.4, the Midgard
Weekly Summary has fallen a little behind over the last few weeks. Ron
Parker did a great job as writer and editor but he is deep into writing a
new manual, which I for one need, and I want to make sure he as all the
time he needs. To fill the need I have volunteered to take over as
collector and spell checker for the weekly news. My plan is to ease into
it; I am out of town for a long weekend but will write a brief summary for
next week, followed by a normal, longer edition for the week after. I need
to hear from you! If you are using Midgard and doing cools things, I'd like
to know. If you have written a cool new interface, or ported to a new DB,
and want to share, let me know. I know the major players sort of well and
will be e-mailing them over the next few days to find out where their parts
of the project are. I am betting, however, that there are lots of other
things that people are doing with Midgard that we could all learn from and
I would love to include your efforts as time goes by.
