Ugh .. I was on M16 ....
Upgraded to Mozilla M17, and all is well.
(I don't go many places that use apache's authentication anymore ... No wonder
I hadn't noticed. I'm so used to being authenticated within a page, against a
DB - Typing into a pop-up is just plain weird.....)
