Hi,

As part of the migration process the CVS repository has been moved from
tyr.greywolves.org to cvs.midgard-project.org.
This new location is on a dedicated machine made available to the project
by Aurora s.a.

SO PLEASE:
- DO NOT COMMIT ANY CHANGES TO THE OLD REPOSITORY.
- DO NOT CHECKOUT ANYTHING FROM THE OLD REPOSITORY.

If you have an existing checkout, there is no need to do a new checkout,
and we ask
you to be friendly to our bandwith and follow the instructions below
instead:

(THESE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW DIFFER FROM THOSE IN THE PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT, AS
SOME IMCOMPATIBILITIES WITH DIFFERENT SHELLS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE
PREVIOUS INSTRUCTIONS)

- cd to the directory below your checkout dir:
 $ cd /home/armand/BUILD
- make a safety copy, you never know:
 $ cp -R midgard midgard.backup
- cd into your checkout dir:
 $ cd midgard
- execute the following commands (beware of linewraps, a line starts with
a primary promt ($) or a secondary prompt(>) both of which are not
actually type on the command line. Everything after the prompt symbol up
to the next promt symbol must be on one line):
 $ for a in `find . -name Root -depth -print`;
 > do
 > perl -pi -e 's/tyr.greywolves.org/cvs.midgard-project.org/;' $a;
 > done
 $
- repeat the above steps for all other checkout dirs you may have:
 $ cd ..
 $ cp -R addon addon.backup
 $ cd backup ;
 $ for a in `find . -name Root -depth -print`;
 > do
 > perl -pi -e 's/tyr.greywolves.org/cvs.midgard-project.org/;' $a;
 > done
 $

You will now be using the new CVS server. Once you have verified that all
works as it should you can delete your backup directories.

CVS users with write access:

I have copied all CVS users over to the new cvs-server, please let me now
if you experience problems logging in. Please change your passwords, so
that we can benefit from the stronger password encryption algorithm that
is available on the new server. It is okay to change it back to your
original password immediately after, if you like.

If you want to use ssh-keys to
automate logins, the server uses openssh, not commercial ssh2 like the
old
server. This means you will have to do: ssh-keygen -f
<your_public_ssh2_key
-X >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys2 , and make sure that ~/.ssh/authorized_keys2
has mode 644.

As a result of this migration cvsweb has also move to a new location:
http://cvs.midgard-project.org/cvsweb.pl/

I hope that these instructions will help to ensure a smooth migration.

Armand.
