Hi, We're in the beginning stages of redesigning many aspects of Midgard; the application, Web site, and Midgard Project Ry. A primary concern is enabling everyone to participate in and know who's working on all the specific aspects of the project. The first phase of redesign will be a series of requirements documents that everyone can comment on and ultimately influence the design of the relative issue. Requirements We have requirements documents for Midgard 2.0 and the Web site redesign. These documents will be public forums that everyone can respond to. A document that describes what a requirement is will be provided. Example: Web Site Redesign; the site must provide a way for developers to know what features are included in the Midgard 2.0 design, the stage of development, when the feature will be released, who is developing the feature and how to contact the developer. After a requirement is fully described, proposals for meeting the requirement can be discussed and documented. Upon defining the requirements and their solutions, we can write the code. At the bottom of the requirement documents is a link, Annotations, that accesses a form that can be filled out and sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Proccesing Annotations If the Annotation is for Midgard 1.4 documentation, Armand Verstappen, 1.4 documentation maintainer, and I, documentation Editor, review the submission. If the submission is determined to be something that should be included in the 1.4 documentation, we rewrite the submission and incorporate it into the accepted CVS version of the Midgard 1.4 Manual. So, the first document, Jean-Philippe's MGD2.0 Requirements, can be reviewed by following the "Requirements" link on the front page of midgard-project.org. We'll be posting the 1.4 manual, Web site redesign and other documents within several days. Let's kick some butt, Ron Parker -- This is The Midgard Project's mailing list.
