After waiting for about one hour between 5 and 6 PM today (June 20th), I saw and photographed one of the MISSISSIPPI KITES perched on a dead ash on Mapletown Road in the Town of Root, Montgomery County. The bird remained for a long time and seemed unperturbed by my presence as I sat and photographed from my car parked on the shoulder of the road. I posted a couple of the pictures on the Hudson Mohawk Bird Club's Yahoo site: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hmbirds/photos/album/65541066/pic/ordinal
